The intended use of QUADRO in a daycare setting is as a mobile, adjustable play and sports equipment system, not as a permanent, fixed structure. If you follow a few basic practical rules, safe use in everyday daycare life is straightforward:
• The right place of use: QUADRO shows its strengths in play and movement rooms or as a temporary setup in outdoor areas. It is not intended to be left unattended as publicly accessible play equipment, for example after daycare hours.
• Educational supervision: QUADRO was developed for active use under guidance and supervision. Unlike unsupervised public playgrounds, we always assume supervised and controlled use in institutional settings.
• Age-appropriate setup: The system’s enormous design freedom also means that you are responsible for the specific setup. Proactively adapt the constructions, especially the maximum platform heights, to the motor skills and age of the respective group of children.
• Internal risk assessment in your facility: As with any work, play, or sports equipment, you carry out a standard internal risk assessment before use. For practical implementation, operating organizations can rely on proven information, guidelines, and checklists from accident insurance providers and the DGUV, for example on movement activities, movement construction areas, and mobile play equipment. Based on these resources, you can routinely and systematically define and document aspects such as place of use, supervision, setup heights, inspection of the finished setup, suitable ground surface or fall protection, and obstacle-free spaces for your individual setup.
